Resuburbanization has been brought on by our most recent Pandemic. This is the trend where people are trading the convenience of living downtown for more space and a less expensive lifestyle outside downtown metro areas. Since many people are able to work from home now the data is showing that things are chainging in the housing market such as:
- McMansions are making a comeback as more people want more space for to accommodate working from home.
- Movement our of downtown communities to areas where it is easy to walk to parks, markets and friends.
- There has also been a surge in second home sales in areas located a two to four hour drive away from major metropolitan areas.
